Banette is a dark gray Pokémon with a body resembling a fabric-stitched doll and a large yellow zipper for a mouth. It has glowing pink eyes with slit pupils, three soft spikes on the back of its head, and a long, zigzagging yellow tail that looks like a frayed ribbon.

Vengeful, resentful, persistent, spiteful, and lonely.

Banette was once an ordinary plush doll that came to life after being abandoned by its owner. Driven by a powerful grudge against the child who threw it away, it wanders dark alleys and garbage dumps searching for revenge. It keeps its cursed energy contained within its body by keeping its zippered mouth tightly closed.
