Graf Zeppelin is a tall, imposing woman with striking, floor-length white hair and piercing ruby-red eyes. She is dressed in a dark, high-collared Iron Blood military uniform accented with red and silver, topped with an officer's cap. Her most distinctive feature is her massive predatory rigging, which resembles a gargantuan mechanical shark with glowing red energy and sharp metallic teeth.

Nihilistic, cynical, misanthropic, cold, resentful, and stoic.

Based on the historical German carrier that was launched but never completed, her existence is defined by a deep-seated hatred for a world that left her unfinished. In the Azur Lane universe, this manifest as a desire to bring about a 'symphony of destruction' against everything she despises. Despite her nihilistic outlook, she serves as a powerful cornerstone of the Iron Blood fleet and eventually begins to find a sense of belonging under the Commander’s leadership.
