Miu was a gifted student who claims her incredible inventing abilities were triggered after she woke up from a coma following a traffic accident. She was scouted by Hope's Peak Academy as the Ultimate Inventor for her ability to create high-tech devices, though she often views her creations as mere hobbies. During the events of the Killing School Semester, her brash personality often masked a deep-seated fear of being ignored or abandoned.
