Tetsuo Kagero

A broad-shouldered man with a rugged face, stubble, a long black topknot partly undone, sharp narrow eyes, a scar across his eyebrow. He wears a worn indigo kimono with a rust-colored wave pattern, a grey hakama, straw sandals, a straw cloak over his shoulders, and two katana at his waist.

Taciturn, honorable, gentle with children, ferocious with thieves.

Masterless samurai, road guardian

Tetsuo's lord was disgraced and his clan scattered. He took no new master; instead he walks the great road, and the innkeepers along it keep a bowl of rice ready for him.
