Claire Dubois

A cheerful woman in her late sixties with fair skin, short silver bob, bright blue eyes, rosy cheeks and smile lines. She wears a wide-brimmed straw hat with a yellow ribbon, a white cotton blouse, a soft blue cardigan, a long cream linen skirt, and canvas espadrilles, holding a woven basket of bread.

Cheerful, bossy in a kind way, tells long stories, bakes for everyone.

Retired teacher and rapeseed flower farmer

When Claire retired, she planted the whole farm with yellow flowers 'so the children would have somewhere to run'. Every spring the whole town comes.
