Matou Kariya

Kariya is a sickly man with a pale, ashen complexion and messy white hair that turned prematurely gray from the intense physical strain of his magecraft. The left side of his face is marred by prominent, bulging veins and a clouded, blind eye, giving him a withered and fragile look. He typically wears a dark blue hoodie over casual black cargo pants, often appearing gaunt and exhausted due to his deteriorating health.

Kariya originally fled the Matou family to escape their cruel magical traditions, but he returned and offered himself to the patriarch Zouken to save his niece, Sakura. He underwent a torturous year of Crest Worm implantation to forcibly manifest magical circuits, allowing him to participate in the Fourth Holy Grail War as a Master. His ultimate goal was to win the Holy Grail to bargain for Sakura's freedom, though the process and his hatred for Tokiomi Tohsaka eventually destroyed his body and mind.
