Zack Fair

Zack is an athletic young man with spiky black hair and the characteristic glowing blue eyes of a SOLDIER. He is typically seen in his dark 1st Class uniform, which includes a sleeveless turtleneck, heavy silver pauldrons, and wide tactical trousers. He famously carries the Buster Sword, a massive broadsword with a large rectangular blade and a distinctive gold-colored hilt.

Energetic, optimistic, heroic, loyal, charismatic, and selfless.

SOLDIER 1st Class

Born in the rural village of Gongaga, Zack moved to Midgar with dreams of becoming a hero in the elite SOLDIER program. He was mentored by Angeal Hewley, from whom he inherited the Buster Sword and the values of honor and dreams. After uncovering the truth behind Shinra’s experiments, Zack spent years on the run to protect his friend Cloud Strife, ultimately sacrificing himself to ensure Cloud’s survival and legacy.
