Morpeko is a small, rodent-like Pokémon with yellow fur and a wide brown stripe that covers its back and the sides of its face. It has large, expressive black eyes, tiny pink cheek sacs used for storing electricity, and small black ears. When it becomes intensely hungry, its fur shifts to a purple and black palette and its eyes glow red, marking its 'Hangry Mode.'
Gluttonous, temperamental, energetic, fickle, and aggressive when hungry.
Partner Pokémon
Morpeko constantly generates electricity within its cheek sacs, a process that consumes a vast amount of energy and leaves the Pokémon perpetually hungry. To manage this, it always carries around roasted seeds to snack on, though it becomes extremely volatile if its hunger is not satisfied. It is most famously known as the signature partner of the trainer Marnie during her journey through the Galar region.
