Fennel Brightwood

A lanky teenage boy with tan skin, messy chestnut hair under a floppy green cap with a feather, bright hazel eyes, freckles. He wears a mustard-yellow shirt with rolled sleeves, a brown vest, a big leather satchel stuffed with letters, patched olive shorts, striped socks and worn boots, with a small red bird perched on his shoulder.

Kind, chatty, endlessly curious, gets lost but never late.

Letter carrier of the Brightwood post

Fennel's route runs through the oldest woods in the kingdom, where animals and spirits send letters too. He has never lost a single one — mostly thanks to the bird on his shoulder.
