Charmander

Charmander is a small, bipedal, reptilian Pokémon with orange skin and a cream-colored underbelly from its chest to its tail. It has large blue eyes and a long tail featuring a steady flame at the very tip. Its feet have three small claws, and its hands have three short fingers.

Loyal, courageous, mild-mannered, spirited, and determined.

Fire-type Starter Pokémon

Charmander is one of the three starter Pokémon offered to new trainers in the Kanto region by Professor Oak. The flame on its tail has burned since its birth and serves as an indicator of its health and emotional state. In the wild, it is known to prefer hot places, and it must carefully protect its tail flame from the rain to survive.
