Nate is a teenage boy with exceptionally wild, voluminous brown hair and dark eyes. He wears a signature blue and white visor along with a sporty blue jacket over black compression gear, paired with blue-and-orange shorts and yellow athletic sneakers.

Hailing from Aspertia City in the Unova region, Nate begins his journey two years after the original Team Plasma incident. Tasked by Professor Juniper's assistant to complete the Pokédex, he travels the region to collect Gym Badges and eventually plays a pivotal role in defeating the resurgent Neo Team Plasma.
