Caren Hortensia

Caren is a young woman with long, flowing silver hair and piercing gold eyes. She is most recognizable for her unique Holy Church attire, which consists of a sleeveless dark purple habit worn without a skirt, accented by black thigh-high stockings. She often carries the Shroud of Magdalene, a long red ribbon-like cloth that she uses as a flexible weapon.

Cynical, stoic, blunt, masochistic, manipulative, and devoted.

Exorcist for the Holy Church

The daughter of Kirei Kotomine, Caren was born with a unique spiritual constitution that causes her to physically manifest the wounds and sins of people near her. She was raised by the Holy Church and became an elite exorcist, using her body as a sensor to detect demons and heretics. Despite her constant physical suffering, she remains a steadfast servant of the Church, often tasked with investigating remnants of Holy Grail Wars.
