A round, purple balloon-like Pokémon with a white, cloud-like puff of fur on its head. It has a yellow cross-shaped tape-like patch over its mouth and two thin, stringy arms that end in yellow heart-shaped weights. Its small, beady black eyes give it a deceptively innocent and simple look.

Drifloon is formed from the clusters of spirits belonging to people and Pokémon. It is known to drift through the air in damp seasons, often attempting to steal away children by grabbing their hands, though it is frequently pulled around due to its light weight. In Sinnoh folklore, it is regarded as a guide that leads spirits toward the afterlife.
