A small humanoid creature with dark, charcoal-colored skin and a thick, spiky mane of dark brown hair. It wears a signature white mask with simple red tribal markings that completely conceals its face, and its clothing is limited to a primitive leather loincloth and bandages on its limbs.

Aggressive, communal, spiritual, and territorial.

Hilichurls are the tragic remnants of the fallen nation of Khaenri'ah, cursed by the gods with immortality and transformed into monsters five centuries ago. They have lost their humanity and history, now wandering the wilderness of Teyvat in primitive tribes that worship the elements. They wear masks to hide their horrifying features and avoid the pain of seeing their own reflections.
