Kayneth is a genius magus from the noble Archibald family who achieved the rank of Brand at an unprecedentedly young age within the Mage's Association. He entered the Fourth Holy Grail War primarily to add a record of military triumph to his already illustrious resume. However, his campaign was derailed when his student, Waver Velvet, stole his original catalyst, forcing Kayneth to summon the Lancer-class servant Diarmuid Ua Duibhne instead.
