Mew is a small, pink, bipedal creature with large, expressive blue eyes and two short, pointed ears. It possesses a notably long and thin tail that ends in an ovoid, bulbous tip. Its body is petite with large hind legs and small forepaws, often seen floating gracefully in the air.

Mew is a Mythical Pokémon said to possess the genetic composition of all other Pokémon species, which allows it to learn almost any attack. It was long considered a mirage or extinct by the scientific community until it was rediscovered in remote jungle regions. Its DNA was famously used in the controversial experiments that led to the creation of the powerful clone, Mewtwo.
