Noctis is a young man with messy spiky black hair and blue eyes that turn red when he channels his royal magic. He wears an all-black outfit featuring a short-sleeved leather jacket, cropped trousers, and buckled boots with distinctive red soles. A single black motorcycling glove on his left hand serves as his most recognizable accessory.

As the heir to the Kingdom of Lucis, Noctis is the only one capable of wielding the power of the Crystal and the ancient Royal Arms. After his father is killed and his kingdom is annexed by the Niflheim Empire, he embarks on a journey with his three closest friends to reclaim his throne.
