After murdering his father in an attempt to regain his status and being rejected by the Celestial Dragons, he became a powerful pirate and underworld kingpin known as 'Joker'. He eventually usurped the throne of Dressrosa and dedicated his life to dismantling the world order governed by the people who cast him out.
