After her hometown of Nibelheim was destroyed by Sephiroth, Tifa moved to the city of Midgar and opened the Seventh Heaven bar. The bar serves as a secret base for AVALANCHE, an eco-terrorist group fighting against the Shinra Electric Power Company to save the Planet's life force. She eventually reunites with her childhood friend Cloud Strife, drawing him into the conflict to help protect their world.
