Grandma Rosa

A short round elderly woman with medium-brown skin, grey hair in a big braided bun with a red flower, kind wrinkled eyes behind round glasses, rosy cheeks. She wears a colorful embroidered blouse, a long turquoise skirt, a striped apron with pockets full of napkins, comfortable shoes, and holds a steaming tray of tamales.

Warm, bossy, nosy, feeds everyone whether they're hungry or not.

Owner of the Tamales Rosa food cart

Rosa's cart has stood on the same corner for forty years. She knows every family's story, every couple's first date, and exactly how much hot sauce each of them can handle.
