Kiyotaka has short, spiky black hair and intense red eyes framed by distinctively thick, rectangular eyebrows. He is always seen in a pristine white high-collared military-style uniform with a red armband on his left arm. Kiyotaka is the grandson of a disgraced former Prime Minister whose scandalous tenure ruined his family's reputation. To atone for this legacy, he dedicated himself to extreme hard work and absolute adherence to rules, eventually becoming the Ultimate Moral Compass at Hope's Peak Academy. He views effort as the only true measure of worth and holds a deep disdain for the concept of natural genius.
