Niji-Style Anime Art From Plain Language

You do not need to learn parameters. Describe the character, the scene, the lighting and the art style in a sentence, pick a ratio from the menu and generate. For a 90s cel look, a soft watercolor anime look or a modern key-visual style, just name it in the prompt.

Characters That Stay On-Model

Upload your OC once and use it as the reference for new scenes. When you need the full design, make a character turnaround sheet with front, side and back views, or an expression sheet for every emotion.

Go From Key Visual to Anime Short

Niji gives you great stills. Here the same characters can keep going: animate a picture with anime image to video, or let AI Story write a script, design the cast and film a 30 or 60-second anime short with voices and subtitles.

Which One Should You Use?

Niji Journey is excellent at what it does; OC Maker AI covers a different part of the workflow.

  • 01

    Stay with Niji Journey if…

You already pay for Midjourney, you want its distinctive aesthetic and style references, or you work in Discord with its community and prompt parameters.

  • 02

    Try OC Maker AI if…

You want to start without a subscription, prefer plain-language prompts, need the same OC across many images, or want your characters in videos and anime shorts.

  • 03

    Use both if…

You love your Niji renders: upload them here as references to build character sheets, animate them or cast them in an anime short.

How to Switch From Niji Journey

  1. Drop the Parameters

Paste your Niji prompt and remove flags such as --niji, --ar and --s. Choose the aspect ratio from the menu instead and describe the style in words.

  2. Add Your Character

Upload an earlier render or your own drawing so the new image keeps the same face, hair and outfit.

  3. Generate and Keep Going

Generate, then turn the result into a reference sheet, an expression sheet or an animated clip of the same OC.

Niji Journey Alternative FAQ

Is there a free alternative to Niji Journey?

Niji Journey has no free plan; it needs a Midjourney or Niji Journey subscription. OC Maker AI gives you free credits when you sign up, so you can make anime art before paying anything.

Does OC Maker AI use Midjourney or Niji models?

No. OC Maker AI uses its own selection of image models, including an anime-focused one. It is an alternative to Niji Journey, not a front end for it.

Do I need Discord?

No. Everything runs in your browser on desktop or mobile.

Can my Niji prompts be reused?

Yes. Paste the text of the prompt and remove the parameters such as --niji, --ar or --sref; set the ratio from the menu and describe the style in words.

Can I keep the same character across images?

Yes. Upload your character as a reference image, and use the character reference sheet maker to lock the design from every angle.

Is OC Maker AI affiliated with Midjourney?

No. Niji Journey is made by Midjourney together with Spellbrush. OC Maker AI is an independent service, and this page compares them based on public information.
